This topic has certainly become certainly become commonplace here, but nonetheless, I feel it necessary to put my two cents in, due to a recent experience. As far as long-haul flights go, I would have to say, in contrast to the usual SQ, CX, etc., NW has a damn fine product now. Where else are you going to find 150 degrees of seat recline in a business class (NW has no international first class now). I slept all the way from MSP to NRT, and back, recently. The food is generally the same as before but I could really see a change in the attitudes of the flight attendents. They really seemed happier. Maybe due to the decrease of passengers within this cabin, with less seats. It looks like overall, about three or four rows were sacrificed to make more room.
