This topic has been overkilled! But again i'd have to say from many worldwide experiances in J class i'd say Cathay Pacific is in a catagory of it's own.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I'd Say Cathay Pacific probably has one of the best business classes around.
Just like Dan (BA747-436) said, Cathay Pacific is in a catagory of it's own. Smile

Any one from:

SQ
CX
BA
EK

My personal favourites are Singapore Airlines and BA, although the other two are excellent also (Emirates provide free limousine transfers to/from the airport)
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Oh, come on.  Smile

The world's best business class is Britsh Airway's (BA) Club World with its individual cubicle seats per passenger. It's so good that it's not worth the money to go to First Class on BA. Big grin

Singapore Airlines - Overall

Seating - Virgin Atlantic. Lovely posh leather. Great but i hear it doesn't recline all the way! Followed v. closely by British Airways (Yes I know but how can you challenge a bed?) Followed by Singapore Airlines! The largest seat pitch for an airline operating a 3 class service!

Singapore Airlines Raffles Class
Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

I disagree that BA's new seats are the ultimate. They are ackward to use and the configuration is a bit uncomfortable (using the privacy shield, facing the rear of the aircraft). I flown them twice out of JFK. I think their cradle seat was the best...and still is.

This topic has certainly become certainly become commonplace here, but nonetheless, I feel it necessary to put my two cents in, due to a recent experience. As far as long-haul flights go, I would have to say, in contrast to the usual SQ, CX, etc., NW has a damn fine product now. Where else are you going to find 150 degrees of seat recline in a business class (NW has no international first class now). I slept all the way from MSP to NRT, and back, recently. The food is generally the same as before but I could really see a change in the attitudes of the flight attendents. They really seemed happier. Maybe due to the decrease of passengers within this cabin, with less seats. It looks like overall, about three or four rows were sacrificed to make more room.

While I love ANZ Business Class and will continue to use them every chance I get you cannot beat BA Club World with the new sleeper seat. Total privacy and your own area. A bed as well. Facing rearwards is not a problem and people who say it is must be mad. What is the problem with facing rearwards. Please, dont the forces all face rearwards and the FAs themselves.

to Greg: the seat is not awkward all you have to do is follow the instructions and the rest is easy. On a night flight returning from the US all anybody wants to do is sleep and BA finally provides that service.

I think Airtran is the best if they have your flight! There very comfortable! But Airtran is not international, It only serves the east coast! If this is where your destionation and departure city is I would take it for the extra $24.00!

With all the 3-class airlines going to fully-flat sleeper seats in business class, is there any chance 2-class airlines like Delta and Continental will extend their seat pitch or install full sleeper seats?
