Is Incheon Opening Tomorrow?

Wed Mar 28, 2001 11:33 pm

I'm seeing all those Seoul/Incheon in place of Seoul on the flight information online. So is Incheon opening tomorrow? It's gonna be cool. What about Kimpo? It looks like that all operations will switch to Incheon as I do not see any more "Seoul" but "Seoul/Incheon" in the list.

Incheon is open today. It's March 29 in Seoul, seeing how they're 14 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

About the spelling of Incheon. It was originally suppose to be spelled "Inchon", but they thought it would help with prounciation, so they added an 'e' to the word "Incheon".

The Inchoen International Airport website has been updated. I'm glad to see that the maps of terminals for departurues and arrivals. I'm pleased that they got a few things rights. Air Canada is NO longer in KE's terminal and Check In counter, but they're now grouped together with other Star Alliance carriers UA, TG, LH and NH.

I'll be flying into ICN in 2 weeks, and hope that their operations are smooth.

Hi,
Kimpo will still stay open and will handle all Domestic flights except a few INCHEON-PUSAN flights.

The homepage for ICN is www.wingedcity.com It's really nice!

The first flight at Incheon goes to Asiana Airlines. They were the first to land on Thursday.. AC 899 is expected to arrive close to an hour early at ICN.

There are still a few concerns at ICN. The computerized baggage handling system is not properly working. This also happened when the new HKG and DEN airports open.

If there are two airports in Seoul now, will there be new airport codes to distinguish them both?
At Eastern, we earn our wings every day!
