Braniff/National Gates At MSY

Tue Apr 10, 2001 5:17 am

A question for the researcher that I know exists in each of us:

What exact gates did Braniff and National occupy at MSY back in the late 70's/very early 80's? I narrowed it down to concourse B-west side for National, and concourse C-west side for Braniff; but does anyone know the exact gates?

The researcher that's in me wants to know exactly what mix of medications you're on. It needs to be changed.

I'll make two comments to Skippy:

#1) you're passing yourself off as a 13 to 15 year old "part time laxative distributor"??? Hmmm, sounds to me like you've got way too much time on your hands. Do your parents know about your occupation? I'd hate to hear what your career aspirations are.

#2) the old adage that says, "I refuse to fight a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent" seems to fit here.

PS to respectable forum members: the original question stands.

Tom,

I used to cater NAL at IAH, back in the mid-70s, and one ops guy I used to know there eventually transfered to MSY, and was there at the end. I *think* he's still involved with aviation somewhere there on the MSY airport. Email me and I'll pass along his name... Maybe his name will ring a bell...

Do you know what Gates Royale And Southern had in MSY? I have done some research on these airlines, and I am curious.

Colin,

Royale was here when I arrived in '87. They occupied gate D4 on Delta's old concourse (later occupied by L'Express). I believe Southern was on concourse A (possibly where NW is now located).
