Aviation Mba?

Tue Apr 17, 2001 6:26 am

Hey guys, I just need some help. I want to know which options are available for me as I want to go for an MBA/Aviation but have found it hard to get enough information from the internet. I already know about ERAU and Dowling, but would like to know all the options before taking a decision. Is there an interesting option in the UK? My email, just in case:
Thank you.

Hi there. I got an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal and I know they offer the AMBA. I think it is about cad 25,000 which includes a laptop + manuals etc

You are probably better off by getting a standard MBA, even if you want to work at an airline. My experience with a major carrier is that they hire MBA's from major business schools, and don't even recruit at Aviation MBA program schools. Besides, if you ever decide to go outside of the airline biz, you will be better suited with a general MBA. I had to deal with this same issue a year ago, and decided to go with the traditional non-aviation MBA. In my dealings with recruiters at airlines and related companies, I feel that the general degree is really the best fit.

thanks for your reply guys. I've been checking concordia's site and it seems like a really good option. However, I kind of agree with Mitchell Gant about a general MBA being probably a wiser decision.
thanks again,
