DL had in its fleet plan to have all of the 737-200's in the DL Express fleet by September. That brings the fleet to 41 or 42. DL Express has stayed focused on the Florida market and continues to make improvements in operational efficiency. It recently made accomodation for spare a/c since the 737's are being utilized quite extensively. When they break...baby they're BROKE!
US seems to still be trying to find the niche for Metrojet. They also seem to be leasing quite a few of their 200's or retiring them from the fleet. Metrojet seems to be lost in a quagmire route system and serves cities outside of the leisure market.
There seems to be a wait and see course of business at US in regards to the United merger. US is inhibiting growth domestically until Justice has made its ruling in the matter.
