Bonjour all !
After completion of CDG 2E and a little later CDG 3, our hub airport will be able to treat 80 million passengers a year.
CDG2E is schedule to open in 2003 and CDG3 in 2010.
Air France is very proud to have a partner like Delta and I am pretty certain that Delta is happy to have us on their side.
I would like to remind people that a partnership is a two way thing and we enjoy Delta's additional passengers as much as they enjoy ours ! Some of you seem to forget that Delta has access to a number of new markets unreached before in Africa, the Middle East and soon Asia. Delta has opened its domestic market to us and so did we.
Now, I would like to know why did that cabin crew didn't like us ? Is it because she didn't get an upgrade on one of our flights ? Does that make us a bad partner ? I have enjoyed flying DL on BizElite a lot and loved to chat with their crew. Yet I have never come across a DL person who didn't like us or an AF guy who dispised DL.
I would love to see Air France upgrade Delta personnel on our flights when there is room but we don't get the upgrade ourselves as AF made the choice to favour its full paying passengers instead of its employees. The only time we get an upgrade is because there is no more room in Tempo.
Air France/Delta is the second most powerful alliance behind LH/UA over the atlantic with 17% of the market and it proves that what we are doing is right and that we are going the right way.
Now, every airline makes its own choices for its internal policy and this is bound to displease a few person and I am extremely sorry that that particular cabin attendant wasn't happy about our relationship and that she might prefer SR as DL's partner.
