Now that the AA/TWA deal is done, and the 2
airlines will be intergrated over the coming year, do you think that AA will order more new aircraft to replace those acquired from TWA. This is not about the 717. I am interested in whether another 737NG order, a new 757 order (maybe -300 series), or additional 767 (-400 series possibly) or 777s will be ordered by AA to replace some of the TWA planes and increase capacity on the TWA route system. I am sure that AA wants to rid itself of any remaining TWA DC-9s and while many of the TWA MD-80s are quite new, TWA also has some older examples dating back from the early 1980s (AA itself is beginning to retire some of its MD-80s). Finally, additional long range capacity will be needed if AA plans to operate and expand TWA's international network - TWA had retired its 762s and had a limited number of 763s in it fleet. Could be interesting to see what happens.
