Questions Regarding One Of UAL's B747-400

Thu Apr 26, 2001 9:53 pm

Hi everyone!

A few years ago, I have heard that one of UAL's B 747-400 was put in storage and was sold. Can anyone confirm this for me? Also, if yes, when? Why did they do that?

That isn´t true. Maybe you got this fact wrong somehow: In 1992/3 United BOUGHT two 747-400s that had been stored for a year or so because the ordering airline, Northwest, was in financial trouble back then. They are flying for UA as N104UA and N105UA.

There were 2 747-222 in storage for a period; they were sold to NW for conversion to freighters.
