Air Force One And A B52 Bomber At IAH Tonight

Fri Apr 27, 2001 9:14 am

Hello Folks,
Dubya and his plane arrived in Houston today about 4.30pm this afternoon, causing chaos to the entire airport, shutting down terminals and backing up traffic for miles around the place due to security. As far as the B-52 Bomber goes, I dont know if it was related to Dubya being there

Just got off a flight and saw it there. Not sure why it is at IAH and not Ellington. Maybe because the airport has Dad's name on it now?!

There's no B-52 here. It's a C-5. It came in yesterday to deliver the limos and the Secret Service Suburbans.

There was some problem with the lighting system at EFD,or so I was informed... AF ONE did cause a few flights to circle for a while, and when it departed a few more had to hold out on the taxiway for some time... but most flights were not affected. But SOME people did miss their connections.....
