Does Gulf Air Need A New Livery?

Mon Apr 30, 2001 1:24 am

HI

I HAVE REGULAR CONTACTS WITH THE CEO OF GULF AIR AND ASKED HIM IN MY RECENT E-MAIL TO HIM ABOUT THE UPGRADE OF GULF AIR'S COLOUR SCHEME.

HE SAID THEY WERE EVALUATING THIS AND ALL THEIR MARKETING MATERIALS HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED INTO THE REBRANDING OF THE AIRLINE.

IF THERE ARE ANY LIVERY DESIGNERS OUT THERE, I'D LOVE TO SEE WHAT YOU CAN COME UP WITH. I WILL PASS ON THE NECESSARY FEEDBACK TO THE CEO.

DO YOU THINK GF NEEDS TO REVAMP ITS LIVERY ?

Personally, I think they have more important issues to deal with at the moment (safety & management culture!!).

However, that was not the question.

I honestly think their livery is very attractive, and hope they keep it for the time being!!

The "Golden Falcon" looks very smart, and more imaginative than their competitor's livery......!! Big grin

YES! with the exception of Purple the colours are too close to those of Emirates, the Falcon also needs to be modified as it looks to cartoonish and amateur, ok for when it was introduced but not now Smile
.....up there with the best!

No, I don't think GF should update their livery. It is fine just the way it is.

Leave well enough alone.

Their livery is a classic design that looks good on every aircraft they've had.

I think they dont need and it would be a mistake if they done it except if it is really atractive desighn .
But their current colour is really great . U know some of
old colours in some airlines were better than the new one ex : Egypt Air old colours were much more better than the new one & BA old colours were better also .
But some airlines had made better colour scheme like:
Saudi Arabian Airlines , Kuwait Airways & TWA.

May be they should let passengers to vote for it .

Thanks .
