Virgin Atlantic 747-200's

Hi, does anybody know what is happening with VS's 747-200s? Are they all gradulayy going to be retired as the new A340-600's are delivered, or are some going to be kept?

My understanding is that the older airframes will be retired, i.e. VIRG, VGIN, VJFK, VLAX. The likely destination is Kemble, for scrapping but it would be nice to think that Richard would sponsor the preservation of VIRG at Duxford (where fully stripped down it could still land) or Bruntingthorpe.

The RR engined ex Cathay and ANZ aircraft will stay and eventually be replaced by the A340-600.
