Shaheen is more professional as its run by the Shaheen foundation set up by Pakistan Airforce for their retired officers their entire staff is ex-Air force personnel the livery is also a dull military-esque scheme with a very amateur cartoonish Falcon(Shaheen in Urdu) logo, they have an all TU-154M fleet on lease from various Russian airlines, last year they took on an A321 from Onur Air but returned it after just six weeks of service, Aero Asia is a truly third rate Bus like carrier, theyre just providing cheap air service with out much thought to anything else, right now they have Yak-42s in their fleet, the Rombac111s on lease from Romania are grounded for want of overhaul, the 737-200 that they use mostly on Dubai flights i have never seen, i flew them once from ISB-KHI on the Rombac111 couldnt wait to get on the ground, gaudy Red interior, bad snack, pastries and patties and you know what those are like in Pakistan, OK crew, all female with Romanian purser, shabby tasteless uniforms and seat numbers photocopied and stuck with scotch tape on the walls, that was in 1994 dont know how they are now, ill only fly them to experience the Yak-42 one of my favourite Russian a/c's, i do have a simple but bright scheme idea for them based on their present colours, as their aircraft only sport cheatlines on an all white fuselage or just titles and silly logo on the same, if nothing else atleast they can fly cheerful colours lets see maybe ill contact them.Route wise Shaheen/NL fly only to the major cities Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad and internationally to to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait, Aero Asia/E4 have been more adventurous theyve tried services to small coastal towns Pasni, Gwadar in Balochistan with Jets and to Quetta but i think all of those failed, now they fly to all the major cities and to Multan, Faisalabad and Sukkur and internationally to Muscat, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Doha in the Gulf and Bishkek in Kyrghyzstan theyre planning international charters to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Saudi Arabia for Ziarat and Umra, according to rumors even London is on the cards Smile

Yes, NL are good and their crew, female and male, are also better than PIA's, I flew them in '99 on the Tu-154 and was pleasently surprised especially by the presence of a very stylish stewardess who seemed to be uptodate with the latest hair and makeup trends including her fingernails as i couldnt help but notice, and a handsome young steward a very rare sight on Pakistani airlines(I wish theyd go on a recruitment drive to the villages up North and hire all those great looking men there) interior was a bit drab but overall it was a good journey, i also never knew that Russian aircraft were so smooth and comfortable till i flew Shaheen, literally as good as their Western counterparts Smile

But Shaheen Air has a reputation of wrapping up their operations occasionally.

Aero Asia do have a tight expenditure budget but they are profitable unlike PIA. They have a total of 10 aircraft and their schedule is more convienient with day and night flights from Karachi to Lahore and vice versa. But after hearing from Airmale, I would rather travel on Shaheen Air International.
Say, did anybody hear about Shaheen's bid to go to Manchester and Jeddah but it was dropped.
I think it is about time Aero Asia got a 757! They could lease it or even a 767. That would boost their profits with the traffic they have.

BTW, Airmale, just out of curiosity, If I correctly remember, weren't you the person who was a religious extremist and now you say that you were noticing the pretty female air hostess? Smile

No im not! disliking persecution of Palestinians or any other people by any country does not equate to religious extremeism, and no need to further discuss the issue Smile

p.s and i also noticed the handsome young steward.
