I've enjoyed the fabulous comfort on Britannia 767 from Stuttgart to Puerto Plata and back. It was definetly a "never again ride"!

How does the seat width in an 8-abreast 767 comapare to a 9-abreast A330?

I have flown on Airtours from Sydney to LGW return twice. It is much more cramped that ANZ or QF 767-300s but i didn't mind a great deal.I suggest you avoid the centre seats as they are a killer. The side seats are more comfortable. I thought the service on Airtours was excellant (I gather Australia is the glamour run for FA) though the food was a bit patchy (Hot Dogs and Chips does not travel well). The stops in S'pore and Bahrein made it bearable and arriving at Gatwick at 11am was very convenient as it took me about 45 mins to get to Brighton.

Yes I would reccomend it for the traveller on a budget. I gather Airtour is much better than Garuda.

Being slim and tall, I prefer narrow seats/more legroom over wide seats/less legroom.

I was on LTU 330, which has 2-4-2 as well as Condor 310, which had 3-3-3. I liked the latter better.

I've flown a Britannia 767-300 from Stockholm to Natal (Northern Brazil), it took 11hrs and it was definetly a KILLER, on the way back we made a technical stop in Las Palmas so it was more bearable on the way back, but then at ARN we had to wait for our connecting SK flight to HEL.

Both Britannia 2-4-2 and Monarch 3-3-3 on 767 and A300 respectively are definately too cramped. I wouldn't mind as much if the seat pitch was increased, but narrow seats and no leg room - forget it.

I'm off on an A321 in 3-3 soon and it's definately two aisle seats for me and the wife.

I wouldnt normally reply to this garbage, because thats what it is..

I fly on the 767-300 for a living with Britannia. We use it for both shorthaul and longhaul, so I feel qualified to make the following points

To those who use the following descriptions"KILLER,CRAMPED,NEVER AGAIN"..Fly sched, pay an extra 200,300+ for your flight. If you cant afford that, fly Premium.

2-4-2 config..Yes the seats are SLIGHTLY narrower, the aisles are very narrow, thats my problem not yours. In my opinion the seat width is comparable to a 757 seat which all sched carriers use in 3-3

I can honestly say that in flying 763's for 5 years, you can count one one hand the complaints I have recieved about Leg/Width spacing. Also we fly for Very expensive companies like P+O cruises, again without complaint. All my passengers get off the aircraft with nothing but praise and a smile on their face!!

Its a great aircraft, beats flying on a 757 or similar to your holiday destination.
