China Southern Int'l Routes

Tue May 08, 2001 1:24 pm

Hi. I was wondering if someone could fill me in on China Southern's international routes. I was particularly interested if they fly to Bangkok. The most recent pic of them at Bangkok was in Dec 1999. I dunno if these flights have been stopped or were charter or what. I think they also fly to Sydney, LA, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.

So where else do they fly to? Also please fill me in on the equpment please.

Thanks.

Although I live in China, I don't know the exact time-table of China Southern ... (I live far up in the north) ...
I could get a hold on a TimeTable for China though
(domestic & international) ... if you like ...

China Southern has one of the most modern fleet in China and has high cash-value.

China Southern also flies to Europe ... I also reckon to remember a flight to the US ... ???

They mostly use B777 on their BKK routes ...

If you want the time-table, I could investigate.

Why do you ask anyway ?

You'll be travelling to China, or just want to catch some pics of that Airline ?

Marian, thanks for offering, that's very generous of you. The reason I asked was that today my friend told me she was going to Bangkok with her dad for her Sweet 16. I told her I'd help her find flights and a good price for her. They get miles with Delta and American and live near LAX.

The possible combinations that they could earn miles on would be JAL via KIX/NRT, Cathay Pacific via HKG, KE via Seoul, and possibly China Southern.

Based on travelocity, there is no working connection on China Southern, however I have seen them leave out flights before so I thought there were better sources here possibly.

So if you could get your hands on a timetable (the english website doesn't offer one) if it isn't too much trouble that'd be great.

Thanks,

thanks. That was very helpfull and resourcefull. Where do you get a hold of the China Airlines timetable?

I'd love for you to help me with this but I don't know the exact dates yet. It's not going to be until 2002 summer anyways. I just wanted to find out some prelimenary ideas for now though.

Thanks again.

I assume you mean the grey Time-table for all flight within / out of China ? The grey one with the DHL advertisment ?

Because Air China ...

My idea was to phone my ticket agent in Beijing, but you were faster.

Actually it's Air China's timetable, not China Airlines. I just basically visit Air China's office, and request a timetable from them.
