Questions Regarding World Airways

Wed May 09, 2001 3:15 pm

Hey guys!

I have a few questions about World Airways.

When did World Airways start its first revenue flight? What fleet types do they have right now? How many MD 11s do they have? Also, where is it based?

Hope to hear from you guys soon!

On that page, Aviationlvi, they mention that World operated a scheduled service between BWI and LGW, but don't mention their DC-10 service between BOS and LGW, which they operated after Pan Am lost their BOS-LHR authority. I can't remember, but I think after the accident at BOS, where the DC-10 slid off the runway into the harbor, they never resumed the service. Eventually Northwest took over that route.
