Finalized Montreal-Dorval Expansion

Sat May 12, 2001 10:04 am

Finally, ADM has shown us how YUL will look like. The airport authority has decided to dived the original Phase 1, into 3 phases. The first phase is the completion of a new transborder finger, completed in 2003, the 2nd phase is the completion of a new international finger, completed in 2006, and the third phase, new centralized pre-clearance facility, including check in counters and US bound passengers, to be completed in 2009.

This was originally to be completed in 2004 in one single phase. It has now been divided to 3 phases and to be completed in 2009.

By the way, ADM is thinking of closing YMX to all commercial flights, which means all flights will be moved to YUL, and YMX will only be open for cargo.

What do you think?
