Sabena Belgian World Airlines canceled seven European flights this morning after a wildcat strike broke out amongst technical maintenance workers in Brussels demanding a general pay rise.

The unions were reported meeting with a mediator at the Ministry of Labour together with Sabena.

The technicians' action is not over, but they have stopped blocking airport entrances which caused traffic jams, and flights can now depart as scheduled, a spokesman said.

So many airline strikes these days.
How long do you think it will be until they reach an agreement with there employees? Sabena really can't afford a long strike, it will really damage there reputation in Europe. I think this issue will be resolved quickly.

Anyone know whats going on with the Lufthansa strike? Are they beginning to reach an agreement?

This is the first strike for Lufthansa in quite some time.

Kind regards.
