What Is The Best Frequent Flyer Scheme?

Tue May 15, 2001 10:47 am

I've got all (except bmi) of Star alliance's FFPs and I'm deciding which one to stick to....

Air Canada's AeroPlan is the easiest to achieve Star Gold with only 35000miles in a year

Thai's ROP is the easiest to achieve Star Silver with only 10000miles in a year

Air New Zealand's Air Point is the best in terms of exchanging points with your house mates (you can take or give miles to all the members who have the same address as you whether they're your family or not!!)

I havent worked out what United, ANA, Lufthansa, Varig and Mexicana's "exclusive" benifits...

Can anyone give me some suggestions??

Thanks

My dad is an aadvantage member, but since you are not looking at AA, I would choose the airline of your country(if you live in Canada, choose AC for example)

I am a member of AAdvantage (American). It isn't bad. I am also a member of Alaska's Mileage plan, which I have the most miles with out of the two.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to use the Alaska one anymore after I move back east.
