Question About Air New Zealand

Thu May 17, 2001 4:22 pm

Just a small question...

How many EMB-110s does Air New Zealand link have? I cannot find their site (or maybe they don't have one...)

What's the seating and the seat pitch?? (Embraer's website only has EMB-120 Brasilias... not 110s )  Confused

thanx a lot

Dear Jimmy,

We have 13 Bandeirantes in the fleet. They have 15 seats, and are in their final months of service, due to be phased out and replaced with 19 seat Beech 1900Ds starting in September.

Hi Jimmy,

Cockpit visits are OK - the pilots keep the door open quite frequently anyway - there isn't really room to sit in the cockpit but you can stand outside.

Seat pitch is .. as you would expect from a small a/c. I was in one two days ago - I'm 5'9, and I had a reasonable amount of space - my legs weren't touching the seat in front of me. Even my 6'3 pilot buddy wasn't too cramped - sorry I can't provide an exact measurement for you.

Mikey,

Hi! Yes, it's great.. very tough though! They have very very very high standards - one guy in my class is a certified private pilot and instructor, and even he's finding it tough!
