Virgin's FLight Crew In A Flight

Sat May 19, 2001 2:43 am

Yo!!

I have a question about a Virgin flight from LHR to HKG in their A343's.
How many teams and the number of flight crews do they travel on that flight as it is one of the world's busiest routes. Also , what are their configurations in the airbuses? and how many passengers in total can they carry to HongKong?

THanks ~AC826

I am quite positive that the configuration in their airbuses is 2-4-2 as when I flew an A330, that was the economy configuration.

I've flown in this plane to HKG, and onward with Ansett in a B747. The configuration in the A343 is 2-4-2.
I think they have 2 crews, and also the Beauty crew for the Up their own arse class.

This aircraft is very uncomfortable when full, and in economy I think the pitch is down to 29 in some seats.

The crew is made up of four flight deck crew and thirteen cabin crew (including the beauty therapist).

The configuration is 2-2-2 in Upper Class, 2-3-2 in Premium Economy and 2-4-2 in Economy. There are 40 seats in Upper, 28 in Premium and 187 in Economy.

Virgin plan to use the A340-600 on this route when deliveries start next year.
