Well, seeing that they've only had the current one for less than 10 years, I'd say it'll be a while before they change it.

The next CO livery change will be after they acquire Delta.

Hey, B747-437B, maybe they should go with a gold and red color, with a round logo on the tail, what do you think?  Smile

I prefer a white fuselage with a Globe encircling a Widget and titles saying "DENTAL"

But if Continental merged with Interflug, they would become "Incontinent"  Smile

Well, they own part of Copa, how 'bout ContiCopa?

Jeez, that sounds like some form of birth control.

If CO and the Discovery card come out with a new card, it could be called the "Discontent".

IMHO, they should reinstate the red and gold colors.

IMHO, it depicts a tarnished, failed past, and they'd be nuts to do something like that.

Anything with the old "meatball" logo, as far as I'm concerned, will be linked with Lorenzo. Enough said.

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple 757s or 737s painted like this. It would look real good; classy.

I prefer Continental in their Goldish-Red livery over white background !! I also thinking Continental should go to something newer than thier current livery. Millennium Edition Livery for Continental, I would find Puck, A.Net user here if he can design a Millennium edition livery for CO. He did very well for AA livery.  Smile

CO's livery is just fine, thank you. It's clean, business-like, and is distinctive. Airlines don't go changing liveries just to satisfy spotters on Airliners. It's an expensive proposition, and one a carrier doesn't take lightly. No reason why CO should junk what's working for them in favor of something that didn't.

Why did the black meatball (charred) get reborn as the red meatball (rare)?

Continental Airlines has the most boring livery in the United States. The white fuselage and pianted tail is so un-original. It looks too much like a .com ad!  PissedI can't stand any white fuselage and painted tail livery! Air France is OK because they've been doing it for years.

I doubt that Continental will change since they just did about 7 years ago. Continental's CEO doesn't have an ego as large as Delta's CEO.

Alpha 1, you lack the soul of an artist. All of the forum members who create beautiful imaginary liveries for aircraft could care less if an airline is profitable or whether it has trouble with unionized pilot. For these people, clashing colors in a paintscheme are far more odious than frequent delays! Grace of line and form in a livery are more significant than any matter of efficiency in airline operations.

Why don't you take a moment and consider how beautiful the A380 would look in Continental's Golden Jet scheme. That's right, really contemplate those strong horizontal lines and that dazzling interplay of shades and hues. Only that might make you change your mind and see the error of your ways.

Are you really an aviation enthusiast or are you just one of the corporate bean counters at Continental?

Us enthusiast are amused my little things like aircraft type, liverys, seat pitch and other silly things like that. I guess we're just a little strange like that.

Well, Gordo Bethune said he'd be the 1st to order a sonic cruiser as soon as Boeing figures out how to make it work.

What better way to memorialize the event than by resurrecting the PeopleExpress livery?

Superfly, I think the "y" got lost somewhere! That was funny  Smile

And Lindy field, maybe I don't have the soul of a poet. But it's neither moved me either way, the livery (see, Superfly, I found the "y"!!) of an aircraft or it's color scheme. Everyone is moved by different things. and we all march to our own tune.

And no, Superfly, I am not a bean counter. I was never good at math, so I couldn't care beans about bean counting. Like I said, I just am not moved or thrilled about the livery of an aircraft.
