DC-10

IS IT JUST ME OR DO YOU ALL THINK THAT THE DC-10 WINGS LOOK DROOPY. I MEAN THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO FALL OFF THE PLANE THEY ARE SO DROOPY. THE ENGINES ALSO LOOK LIKE THEY ARE GONNA FALL OFF THE WING. THANX FOR YOUR OPINIONS

The wings aren't droopy in the least! In fact, from head on they have an upwards sweep. As for the engines, some of them already have:-0 But in reality, the engines are probably set so as to basically "hang" on the wing in such a way that they hold the wings down from flutter, and basically stabizize them. They did that with the 747, and even had to add more weight after wing flutter problems towards the upper speeds it reaches (M.88 - M.90)

I'm not sure if the DC-10's wings look droopy but I know that the MD-11's wings do. The MD-11's wings don't have an upwards sweep at all, because they look like they come out of the aircraft perfectly straight all the way to the tip. They almost look like a tupolev or Ilusian design! The first time I saw the MD-11 I thought that Douglas must have contracted the wing production to Tupolev!
