Air Tahiti Configuration.

Sun May 20, 2001 8:57 pm

I have just read an Airways magzine (form 1998 or something), and they had a small picture of Air Tahitis sole A340. In the text, they wrote tat the configuration in economy was 2-2-2-2 (which means 3 aisles) I found this rather interessting and checked out the air Tahiti web-page. Thet hadn't any seat map, but they claimed to have two by two seating. (I don't know if they were meaning 2-2-2-2 or 2-4-2 where you only are one seat away from the aisle.)

Hope somebody have any info. about this.

BTW: wouldn't 2-2-2-2 mean rather narrow seats?

Hello

2-2-2-2 means that the center row has double armrests. So its actually 2-2/2-2.

Is double armrest a rare sight onboard 2-4-2 aircraft?

Hey,

tg 747-300, well I know Aer Lingus have them. I am not sure about Swissair.

Kind Regards,
