This wasa really cool and modern looking cs for the 80's don't you think, I think that even today it would be modern and up to date?

PW's 767s were better-than-average in the looks department, but the company did some funny things with them. I once came across an old '80s photo of a PW billboard near the Winnipeg airport advertising daily 767 service to - get ready for this - Regina!

A curious choice of aircraft for a secondary route now served by Dash 8s, Fokker F28s and a once-a-day 737-200.

Pacific Western was very successful in their day. They bought CP air and became Canadian Airlines, which since merged with Air Canada. The 767's were beautiful especially the intieriors! They were making quite the profit and had a great route system. I think the 767's were primarily used on the "Airbus" system between Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Although I only remember the final PWA livery you guys pictured, I personally preferred the older ones:

It's been a long time since the days I saw those PWA 737's at YYC...

Also, FYI, those 767's didn't last for very long at PWA, within about a year or maybe two they were sold to AC. This is why there are two 767-275's in the AC fleet. One of them was actually just retired, and is parked in Winnipeg right now.
