OnePass Questions

Thu May 24, 2001 9:35 am

Mileage accrual is permitted on AA Eagle flights condeshared by CO out of LAX. I'm leaning towards flying with NW with my OnePass on YYZ-DTW-LAX-MRY. Can I still collect miles if AA Eagle flight (LAX-MRY) is a NW codeshared flight (and NOT a CO codeshared flight)?

Very good question, and one that I think only OnePass themselves will be able to answer. Make sure they annotate your record appropriately.

Can anyone help me with my original post?

I have another question. Does anyone know of a good 'mileage run' for OnePass or SkyMiles? I'd like to stay in the N. America if at all possible. Something along the lines of 'baht run', but minus the travel time required to Thailand.

Dude - honestly I dont mean to be difficult, but I somehow doubt airwhiners is the right place to ask this kind of question. Most of the kids here are more into spotting and masturbating over timetables.

I kind of figured. Flyertalk is a good place to check out, but things have tightened up around there- no more sharing. They lost their sense of community. Still holding out for answers...

Here are the OnePass partner mileage accrual rules from the OnePass website...

Northwest:All Northwest, Northwest Airlink* and Northwest
flights operated by KLM
*Includes Mesaba and Express One Airlines

American Eagle:Continental codeshare flights connecting over LAX
from a Continental operated flight or Continental
codeshare ticketed passenger flying on a Virgin
Atlantic operated flight to or from Bakersfield (BFL),
Fresno (FAT), Monterey (MRY), Santa Barbara
(SBA), San Luis Obispo (SBP), San Diego (SAN) or
Palm Springs (PSP).

So from looking at these rules I would have to say no, that you techinically could not earn miles on the LAX-MRY segment if it was ticketed with an NW code. The only way you could get miles if that same flight was coded CO and you arrived in LAX on a CO flight (no codeshares except VS).

So unless you are deadset on flying Northwest or Northwest is cheaper than Continental you won't get miles, unless they end up giving them to you by accident.

Why don't you just call the OnePass Service Center?

Your flight YYZ/DTW/LAX/MRY can be sold as CO* flights and you'll get the extra 250 miles (or whatever) each way from LAX to MRY.
