FYI: Frontier's 1st A319 Spotted!

Fri May 25, 2001 1:07 am

At DEN today. Gate A29. N901FR. Wolf on both sides of tail and on inside of winglets. All of same picture. Wish I had my camera here at work today.

It's a beautiful thing. It won't be long before we see all A318s and A319s take over the common sight you see now.

Where's your camera!?

Frontier's new c/s looks really great I think. Hope to see pictures soon.

On a lesser note for all the DIA followers:

Just before the Lufthansa A340 left yesterday, I noticed a USAirways A321 leaving as well.

First time I saw an A321 at DIA!

There are pictures of it already on the net, on some site called cactuswings.

The URL is floating around here somewhere.

The silver titles don't look too bad on the A319....in this pic the font colour appears gold...  Smile

DIA, to avoid any confusion you should refer to Denver in your posts as DEN. There is no DIA in the U.S.

It was temporarily DIA back before Stapleton closed.

New titles look horrible! Bring back the script typeface!

Greg, I agree. From certain angles, especially the "F" on the right side of the plane and the "R" on the left, the letters wrap around way too much. Those letters are way too big for that fuselage! A bold new look, that's for sure.

DIA, where have you been?  Big grin US has been flying in a 321 off and on since mid-winter.
