Canada 3000 - Livery Change?

Sat May 26, 2001 4:34 pm

I live in South East England and whilst driving past London Southend Airport (SEN) and I saw a Canada 3000 757-200 coming in to land.

This is unusual because this airport is hardly used commercially anymore... the do have a painting hangar there though... so I gather that is why the 757 was landing.

Does anyone know if Canada 3000 are having a livery change? Does anyone know what it looks like?

It's also possible that the aircraft is being prepared for a start or end of lease period necessitating a paintjob in a different airline's livery.
It could also have been a holiday charter...

No livery change as yet..this I am pretty sure of because ROYAL's A310 C-GRYV just came back from C check in france in FULL C3 colours...It could be going for C check but that is usually done in YYZ or YQB so who knows maybe they are paning it.... Interesting

It could be... I'm not sure... I might e'mail the Airport and ask them.

I doubt it would be a charter though... The airplanes that usually land there are for repainting, we have had:

British Airways,
Aer Lingus,
Airtours International,
Flying Colours / JMC Air,
and something with a Bee on the side.

I don't know if Canada 3000 is going to unveil a new livery but they sure do need a new one.

A new livery change is likely for C3, but probably not until the new A319s are delivered. The airline would be foolish not to embark on a livery change when it's changing from a charter to a mostly scheduled carrier.
