Austin Bergstrom is growin' like gangbusters. Sustainability is the question now...We'll see. My gut feeling says its peaked, however.

Does that DC-10 still go to Taiwan?

Understand Fed-Ex is scraping their "logistics" operation in Austin (and elsehere).

Read Texas Monthly for more Austin insights. The picture ain't too rosey.

The Gemini Air Cargo DC-10 was replaced with an MD-11 in December and still makes twice weekly flights to/from Taiwan or Seoul. On some weeks there has even been a third flight for which a DC-10 is being used.

IMO International cargo out of AUS will be cooling off. EGL should be cutting some of their charters and many freight forwarders have mentioned a slow down in demand for high tech exports.
