?Possible AA Flight Attendant Strike?

Sat Jun 02, 2001 8:57 am

My mom was saying something to me about a possible AA F/A strike in the future. Any info?
btw-If they strike that would be bad as I will be flying AA this summer.

The longest AA FA strike has been 48 hours. I doubt there will be a strike, but if there is, it won't last that long.

They are currently in a 30-day cooling off period. IF they decide to strike, more than likely President Bush will delay they strike by another 60 days with an Executive Order. With the economy having problems the President won't allow a strike during the busiest travel period.

Well thats good news. And it does make sense that Bush would not let them strike with it being summer. It would probably be like that AA pilots strike Clinton ended. Plus I dont think AA would want to lose all the summer revenue.
Thanks guys,

I am also concerned about having my travel plans disrupted. I am supposed to fly to Alaska with AA on July 10. Will they rebook passengers on another airline if they go on strike? Will other airlines accept their tickets? I am hoping that the strike will be averted, but nobody can count on it.

I really dont think they will go on strike. But AA is usually good about rebooking passengers. But I doubt they will need to.
