I don't know which one I'd choose. Ive never flown AA or Jetblue before. AA and NWA are the only US majors I haven't been on, so I would natually want to fly an airline that I have never been on before.

I heard Jetblue is really good and the A320 is great. They are also more likely to be ontime.

I have never been on a A300, so that flight seems nice to. (but I'm sure my A330 ride is better anyway).

I have flown on US Airways and it is my favorite airline, so from that perspective I would say to fly on US Airways.

JetBlue, one less stop, don't have to fly through LGA, one airline, better planes, lower price.

You on drugs?

If it were me, I'd take AA the whole way, but only because it would be free. If it weren't free, I would say this:

Avoid the second itenerary at all costs. The last thing you want to do is spend 3 hours on an A300. If the 2nd itinerary can be modified to have anything other than an A300 on the MIA-JFK leg, it wouldn't be bad, but I'd avoid that A300 if I were you.

That leaves the 1st and 3rd itineraries. Of them, I would choose the jetBlue one for a couple of reasons... As somebody said, you save yourself a connection. You also avoid flying on the ATR, which is better than the A300 but still not a plane I wold go out of my way to board.

Twaneedsnohelp - On what basis to you make the assertion that jetBlue has a lower price? The itineraries listed by Tbone202 don't include fares.

All other things being equal, I'd take JetBlue, new A320's, avoiding delay plagued LGA and EWR are big plusses.
Purue Arrow, I am curious, why don't you like the A300, I don't particularly love and try to fly on it, (like an A319, or the unfortunately soon to be but a memory L-1011) but I don't loathe it either, it always seemed to me as a pax, a bit nondescript, like a bus in the air!
I may be ugly. I may be an American. But don't call me an ugly American.

Well you cant really expect meals anymore on many domestic flights, so I would take jetBlue. Even the "Frills" Airlines offer "No Frills" inflight service! Take jetBlue http://www.jetblue.com 1-800-JETBLUE

My priorities-

1. Cheapest
2. Segments/routing (I'd sacrifice by paying more if I could get segments)
3. Aircraft type

Csavel - I have only flown on an A300 once, and I just didn't like the cabin. The low overhead bins made it feel very closed in, and in the row I was in, the cabin sidewall curvature was way too noticeable. I just found the environment to be uncomfortable.

Why do the same old same old with American when you can fly JetBlue?

I have to agree with others here, that I would take a brand new A320 (one of my favorites, thanks to United) over almost anything American has to offer any day. I will go out of my way to get on an American 727, I love those, but I didn't notice any of them listed. OH, that's right, all 727s are now based out of LAX, DFW, and MIA. That's why I get to fly them and you dont!!!  Smile

Well, take JetBlue. Leather. PTV (American has that on nothing except the 777 I believe). And new, comfortable Airbus.

I would fly JetBlue , the reasons being
-I have never flown them
-I have never flown on a A320
-Leather Seats
-PTV's
-I have flown AA way too many times. Anyway alot of my trips with AA have been on the A300 and I find this plane to be excellent.

All things being equal, I'd take JetBlue in a heartbeat. They are a high quality airline committed to good customer service and low fares. Also, JFK is less congested than EWR or LGA and you're less likely to be delayed. The JetBlue terminal area (T6 east satellite) is also small and features short, convenient walking distances. The A320 is also a very comfortable plane, and you wouldn't have to take a damn turboprop on the first leg of the trip.

JetBlue is one of the industry's reformers. American is a lead member of the Six Families, the major airlines dedicated to maximizing profit on high fares and monopoly poor-quality service, rather than profiting by low fares and quality service. I try to reward the reformers wherever possible.

Can you guys tell me what the AA 737-800 interior is like? What about the 757? What is an ATR like? Can you choose your seats when booking on jetBlue? Looking foward to your responses, and thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

To me the choice is obvious. JetBlue is the way to go. By flying JetBlue you get:
1) Brand new comfy A320 planes
2) PTV's and leather seats
3) Friendly service all the way around, you wont get that at AA
4) No LGA! (I am a NY'er, trust me, you dont want to go to LGA, esp. if you are flying AA)
5) No tubroprops (give me jet service anyday)
6) Blue potato chips, yes they are blue

Oh wait, I forgot another reason why you should pick JetBlue...you dont have to fly AA!
