Those Who Are Or Want To Be Pilots.

This is a question to those who are commercial pilots and those who want to become one. What is the single, most important reason you want(ed) to be a pilot? For me I think it is sitting in the cockpit during a sunset or sunrise with all the screens and switches lit up. This might sound a bit silly but its a childhood fantasy that has stuck with me for as long as I can remember.
