Perhaps SQ will have A380 to HKG, and FedEx wont have A380 just in MEM:D. Probably the FedEx A380 will go to there biggest destinations in Europe which unfourtunatly don't know who they are.

If SAA ever orders A380s (if they haven't already) then ATL and Ft.Lauderdale might see them if SAA were to fly them to North America. JFK would also see them from SAA if SAA ordered A380s and they flew them to North America. That would be great to see some A380s in ATL! Korean Air flies to ATL and if they ordered A380s, they might fly them to ATL and a lot of other US cities.

I wonder how LAX will cope with the A380. Unless the planned expansion happens, which at the moment, has heavy heavy opposition, it will be tough to find a place to park at the gate since the terminals are so cramped together.

Don`t forget airports in India. If Lufthansa orders A380, they definitely operate them into Delhi and Mumbai. Same with AF (codeshare with AI).

If any US passenger carrier gets them most likely it would be Northwest, so those would definitely be seen at DTW and MSP

If people think Heathrow would collapse with the A380, would it make sense for Virgin to use the A380 on flights form the states to LGW?

U guys forgot about CX and US cariers. UA, DL, AA maybe wont get A380 at the beggining, but eventually they will all get them.
Lets just say that A380 will be seen at about every airport that operates 747 now.

CX isn't ordering the A380, at least not yet. So far, the people who are ordering them make sense. AF and SQ order every type of large aircraft there is, Emirates and Qatar want to improve thier prestige (though Emirates is about as prestige as it gets), FedEx can use the cargo room, Qantas can really use them on long-hauls, and Virgin, well Branson always wants to be on top. Then there is the leasing company, which will obviusly lease them to carriers. I could see CX ordering the A380, along with LH. Maybe Iberia (they are getting Airbus-motivated and also seem to order everything and anything - 767, A340, 747, DC10; plus, they can really use the capacity on thier all-important MIA-MAD route), South African, Saudi Arabian (money, money, money), and I am sure a Japanesse airline or two will order one. Don't look for any American carriers to order it, they don't seem to like jumbo planes, and I wouldn't expect Boeing-loving Korean Air to order them either.

I personally think that SFO will be limited to SQ and VS for A380 service starting in 2006 initially.

SQ definitely needs the A380 on the SIN-HKG-SFO route, and VS will want to upgrade from 747-400 to A380 to entice passengers from flying BA or UA on the LHR-SFO route.

If (as expected) that LH orders the A380, I won't be surprised that FRA-SFO will be flown by LH A380's during the summer months and 744's during the winter months.

LHR and LGW cannot handle the A380 yet, look at the other A380 and LHR tthread.

Delta, American and Continental will never operate the A380. Their fleets are to be centered with 737NG, 757/767, and 777. Delta has even said they do not need a 747s capacity, which is smaller than an A380.

United I think also won't be ordering it, as their long haul fleet has almost 50 747s, which means I think extra 747s would be in order for United as it keeps costs down.
