Info On The Crash Of Hughes Airways Flight 706

Mon Jun 11, 2001 2:54 pm

I was searching throguh this web site on air safety and came across the crash of Hughes Aiways flight #706, it listed that it crashed the mountains above Durate CA. That city is adjacient to the former city I lived in Azusa and was shocked when I came across this, even if it was in the 1970's. Living in that area I know that a couple of air routes cross over, flights from LAX going East-Northeast, and flights from ONT going to the North like SFO, SJC, SEA/TAC etc. To get to the point, were did this flight originate?, how many people perished?, what were the weather conditions?, what caused it to crash?
Thanks!
Have a nice day! Smile/happy/getting dizzy
