The BBC reported this morning that the 11 owner nations of Air Afrique will be meeting today to discuss the probable liquidation of the airline.
They were also looking at other options such as re-financing their $400 million debt, privatization, or selling the airline to other major carrier.
The BBC says that other options are highly unlikely due to large labor disputes and the recent repossesion of aircraft that has left Air Afrique operating less then 30% of normal scheduled flights.
Since I doubt anyone will purchase the airline, and privatization would be to complicated to accomlish in such a short period of time, that liquidation will be the most likely option, with each member nation establishing their own service to make up for lost Air Afrique service..
A good idea for a multination airline killed by horrible management!!!!!
