TWA Airplanes With AA Already?

Sat Jun 16, 2001 4:35 pm

A batch of the newer MD-83s of TWA is reportedly (source: US register/Aviation Letter) already operated by American Airlines. I thought that TWA as it is now (maybe a bit trimmed by quickening the withdrawl of the DC-9s and 767-200s) would remain as such till January 2002 and would be intregrated at once.
The ex TWA MD-83s which are reported to American, are N9630A, N9615W, N9616G and N9617R. Can someone confirm or tell anything about their current status; are they repainted in AA's colours, used on AA's network, or still with TWA?
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

All four of those are FSBU leases, so its possible that the lease has been transferred over to AMR.
