Near Miss Over Western Canada

Mon Jun 18, 2001 12:46 am

Aviation authorities confirmed two
Air Canada planes had to make sharp turns after they
came too close to each other in mid-air over
Saskatchewan Friday. Air Canada flight 3696 was on its
way from Calgary to Winnipeg while Air Canada flight
3627 was headed from Winnipeg to Vancouver.

One passenger said there were injuries on flight 3696.
Officials would not comment on that but confirmed the
planes had been heading toward each other when
navigational instruments alerted the pilots and they
veered off in opposite directions.

This is all that I have heard... any updates ?
