That was the flight from Darwin, after that hurricane Tracy, right?

Jernej
I seriously think I just creamed my pants without any influence from any outside variables.

That ElAl mercy mission flight from
Ethiopa (?) [or some other African
country] that took off with 1,060+
but landed with one extra due to a birth
in flight.
Had to rip out all galleys, lavs etc to
cram them in all in, from memory.
Cheers.

Ahh.. as I remeber EL AL had I think about 1001 passengers on its Boeing 747-200 back in 1989 or 1990.. It was to fly people from Africa to Israel to live a new life.

Al is right, in 1991 ELAL flew Ethiopian Jews out of their country to Israel, which became a mass migration of almost 16,000 people within two days. On one of the trips, ELAL took all the seats out of one of their B747 and crammed 1,065 people into the aircraft (one baby was born on board before take-off).

Next Trivia question coming soon!
