To date LH hasn´t ordered the A318 which would be operated by the mainline. The 728JETs seat 70 till 80 passengers, not 108 like the A318. The direct competition to the A318 is the 928JET with 95-110 seats but as far as I know LHCL can´t order them at the moment because of scope clause restrictions.
The 728JET orders I know about are:
LHCL for 60+60
GECAS for 50+100
SolAir for 2
CSA for 4
Bavaria for 2 728JET,
Makes only 278. Take the 28 Envoy 7 ordered to date ordered and you get to 306. 5 missing. Can you tell me which article that said?
The only 928JET orders to date have come from Bavaria Aircraft Leasing for 4+4.
For the 328JET I have the following figures:
Atlantic Coast: 62+83
Great Plains Airlines 2+2
Hainan Airlines 19+20 w(with very strong rumour that the number of firm orders has already been increased to 40)
Skyway Airlines 8
Tyrolean Jet Service 2
Air Adriatic 2
Air Alps 3
Air Vallee 1 plus another one leased via Locat
Gandalf Airlines 9 (with strong rumour that two more have been ordered)
Air Namibia 2 (newest customer)
plus 11 ordered by business customers
makes 228 including options
That´s all about I know. You can reread it at http://fly.to/rorders
, the Regional plane orders site, not yet updated with the latest Aerosalon news.
