Leaking El Al Aircraft

Wed Jun 09, 1999 11:24 am

On route with EL AL back in 96 I was over Europe.. it was night and it was raining or something but I wasnet sure!! The sealing was leaking and there was water splashing on people on the EL AL flight and on take-offs the cabin door on the top of ur seats where u store the bags and stuff keep on opening .. dude EL AL must get an upgrade before anything else like this happens!!
oh by the way they made up some story that it was just air conditioning leaking.. I was not convinced..

I'd believe the A/C story. If you've got water comming in from outside of an airliner (with all doors closed) you have much bigger things to worry about than getting wet and looking for excuses.

Flyf15 is right. Remember than Hawaiian 737 that had it's roof torn off in flight? This would happen if the plane had leaks like that. Also it's possible that Mish1234 is making up the story. Probably.

If any of you were reading this forum a couple of months ago, someone posted a similar incident. His story was more interesting, though--it involved a droplet of water falling on the stewardess' leg.

It is just condensation.

If the plane was leaking this bad wouldnt it have problems with the presurrized cabin making it quite uncomfortable to fly. I would think it would be the problem with the AC.
