C3's A332's, The Only With GE Engines?

Mon Jun 25, 2001 2:05 pm

Browsing the pictures on the site I have not come across other A330s with GE engines. It seems that C3 is the only airline which chose this powerplant. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are other A330s with GE engines, and if not, why are they so unpopular(is it simply a commonality issue)?

Aer Lingus A330's also have GE powerplants, CF6-80E1A2 for the -300's and CF6-80E1A4 for the -200's. Other GE A330 operators are (or soon to be): Qatar Airways, Air France, Sabena & Philippine Airlines. Of course, Qatar & Air France hasn't taken delivery yet.
