I work for Canada 3000 on flights operated by Royal Airlines. The A330 is used for the Gatwick routes, and they are very nice, and relatively roomy.
However, Canada 3000 has a policy of only allowing visitors to the flightdeck who work for the company. I was able to visit the cockpit on a recent Canada 3000 flight, but not for landing! Royal on the other hand has an open cockpit policy, and it's really up to the captain. I know of a few pilots who fly with the door open the whole flight.
Well, not to put a damper on the flight, but it is a policy they have, and I don't see them letting you in for a visit. But please update me on that, as I'd love to know if you were able to!
Good luck! And enjoy your flight
