Northwest In Flight Entertainment

Mon Jul 02, 2001 3:01 pm

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that northwest does not show movies on any of its long haul (4hr +) domestic flights flown by video equipped aircraft. Why?

Are there PTVs installed on their international 747s and DC-10s in coach?

I was in a DC-10-40 in heavy maintenance the other day (note that the -40's are rarely used on international routes) and only the world business class up front had the PTV's. I dont know about the 30's.

I didn't know that any of the -40s were equipped with WBC seating. Must be the ones used on the HNL runs. All my trips on the -40s have been with regular F seats.

Neither the -30s nor the -40s have PTVs in coach. Heck, you are lucky if the pneumatic headphone system works!
