The Plane Of The Rockband U2

Mon Jul 16, 2001 1:20 am

I just saw the rockband U2 in the TV comming out of their aircraft during their tour accross Europe. I'm not really sure, but I think the plane was a PrivatAir BBJ or 757 with special U2-titles.

Can somebody tell me, what aircraft they're using? I was aboard a PrivatAir BBJ in Geneva in April and I'm wonding whether it's the same plane or not.

Hello from New Hampshire...The plane is a 727-100. I was at two of U2's four Boston shows last month. There is a chance that they are using a different plane in Europe than they used here in the States, but they used a 727-100 here. In seeing video of someone deplaning from a Boeing narrow-body aircraft (where the door and stairs are near the nose) it is hard to tell what type you're looking at.
