Taca Peru Ends MIA-LIM?

Mon Jul 16, 2001 2:39 am

Anyone know why TACA Peru ended service on MIA-LIM July 1? MIA-LIM is an important route, and one that I would think makes money. That leaves American, Aero Continente, and LanChilie/LanPeru on the route.

I would say the amount of competition on that route from carriers that are already well established in the Peruvian Market, with the exception of LanPeru, but at the same time LanChile was an already well known airline in Peru.

Yes, I believe that its just too much competition. Lan Peru/Lan Chile are just too strong.
