Skyjet Airlines?

Sat Jul 21, 2001 4:16 am

I was taxiing into Terminal 2 at MAN yesterday and saw a DC10 belonging to an airline called "Skyjet".

The livery was white top, dark blue underside, dark blue fin with a cross in teal or turquoise. Couldn`t make out the registration, but pretty sure it began with "XS" or "YS".

Anyone any info on the airline ? - It was new to me.

Skyjet is a DC-10 operator based at Brussels, Belgium, with DC-10s V2-LEA and V2-LER and OO-PHN (?).
They have a Brazilian subsidiary, too, with DC-10 PP-OOO (not sure about this reg).
They usually operate flights on behalf of others, and if you have seen them at MAN, I guess they flew for one of the British charter carriers.

Thanks CrewChief32, I know that we get quite a few DC10`s in MAN for servicing with Monarch or FLS, so maybe it was visiting for tune-up...

I guess my eyesight needs improving... it did look like a X2 or Y2 from inside my aircraft  Nuts

Cheers.
