SQ Flight 77

Tue Jul 24, 2001 12:07 am

Last friday a B777 registered 9V-SVA of Singapore Airlines flew SEA-ORD-AMS-SIN with flightnumber 77.

Does anyone know why SQ flew such an uncommon route?

There is no such SQ77

Hmm

Takes it away a bit from "Chicago Here We Come!"

Oh well. Nvm!

7 Days to go!

I know I checked the SIA timetable. No 77 and what about Seattle, isn't it strange?

Could this be the new bird (9V-SVA) that SQ ordered for the ORD-AMS-SIN route starting in August 1?

Perhaps the plane was just being delivered to SQ and made the 1st flight out of the Boeing factory....

Next Friday another B777 (probably the 9V-SVB) will be delivered via AMS. As this flight will carry revenue passengers (as well as last weeks B777), this will also be the SQ077.

Well if that was the case I would have expected the route to be BFI instead of SEA. But there were only 11 people onboard so it must have been something special.

No from the Dutch spotters list. BTW just as last Friday, next Friday's flight will be ORD-AMS-SIN. According to the info I have SQ has some revenue passengers from ORD and AMS. This is also the raeson why they go to a gate at AMS.

I must correct myself (just read some additional info of this flight). The 9V-SVA didn't arrive at a gate (allthough it scheduled to go to gate E11 according to the SPL site) and the flight was probably a route testing flight or the flight had some guests onboard. Anyway the second B777 is still scheduled to arrive at AMS next Friday at 10.30.

Laurens
