Unknown All White 747 At BOM

Wed Jul 25, 2001 8:12 pm

Yesterday while watching arrivals at BOM Rwy-27 from the terrace of my apt, i saw an all white 747, probably a -200 with abs. no markings. It had no winglets and the upper deck was the shorter type with aroudn 8-10 windows.

Its reg was X-XXXX something, so it wasnt India regd. the first letter was probably F.

Anyone know the identity of this aircraft, its owner etc?

I believe Air France has been retiring some of their old 747-200s. This one was still in operation March of this year, and I saw it retired at the Le Bourget Museum last month.

This should be F-GPVV, the Air France 742F sold to Atlas then leased back to Air France !!!. It was F-BPVV before.
