Can I Play Too?

Thu Jul 26, 2001 3:16 am

I know this has been done dozens of times here and some of you might be bored out of your minds with stuff like this. Trust me. It's a difficult one though.

Can you guess this airport:

CityBird MD-11, AA A-300, AA767-300ER, TWA 757, Continental 757, Continental 738, Air France 742, MartinAir 767, USAir A-320, Avianca 757/762, Copa 732, Air Transat L-1011, American Eagle ATR-42, 72.

Confusing enough and difficult enough?

Let's see how good you do on this one?

Well, I first looked at the possible AA 300 destinations and I know that they deploy them a lot to the Carribbean. The fact and type of European widebodies also concurred with it being somewhere in the Carribbean. Seeing that Copa and Avianca also serve this destination led me to it being latin. Knowing that CityBird doesn't fly Puerto Rico and that the American airlines don't fly to Cuba there was only the Dominican Republic left. Then the American Eagle ATR's were the last confirmation I needed which serve the Dominican republic feverishly out of Puerto Rico. Twas' fun!!!

I have a friend that flew MIA-SDQ-BOG two weeks ago. Let me speak to him so that I can get more details about this.

Plus, there are pictures of Avianca airplanes at SDQ on this web page. I don't know how old they are though.

I'll find out for you. Give me a couple of minutes.

AFAIK Martinair does not fly to Puerto Rico and Martinique.
For our convenience, I have looked up their route network in the area:
USA: Miami, Orlando
Cuba: Varadero, Havana
Dominican Republic: Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo
Mexico: Cancun, Puerto Vallarta
Venezuela: Isla Margarita
Costa Rica: San Jose
Aruba: Aruba
Canada: Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver
I wish I were flying
