I believe that the CX hierarchy are investigating the possibilities of non-stop MAN-HKG services with A340s. It would certainly improve this route's performance as it was a one-stop service via either AMS or CDG. Try getting people on to that when they operate double daily non-stop from LHR!
Anyway, it can be no coincidence that airlines that begin non-stop long-haul from MAN have no apparent trouble filling planes
