Very few airlines have all-boeing or all-airbus fleets. The only airlines I can think of are:

All-Boeing:
Southwest
Qantas (not counting regionals)

All-Airbus:
Swissair now that they are planning to get rid of the MD-11

I think JAL has some MD-11s still and he said McDonell Douglass does not count.

How about Sabena? Didn't they get rid of their 747s and MD-11s and are just operating A319,320,321, 330 and 340 now?

Cyprus Airways is an all Airbus airline;
they only have A320 and A310 (soon to be replaced by A330) in their fleet.

We're talkin about big airliners. Not small ones! Ones with a lot of planes...i can buy a few 763s and 744s (although I can't afford gum) and then say that I have an all Boeing fleet.

If you are not counting MDC one way or the other then CO air for Boeing. It won't be THAT long before their 80's and 10's are gone. Also, I don't think you will see gordo picking up any Airbus anytime soon. CO Express doesn't count with their ERJ's.

Indian Airlines operates a fleet of 11 A300s and 34 A320s at present, making them the worlds largest Airbus-only operator. Their 737-200 fleet has been retired, sold or passed on to their Alliance Air subsidiary.

Air China is a big Boeing only operator (except for four Bae146's:

(B737, B747, B767, B777)

They operated the A340 for a while.

The largest all Boeing operator is still WN. CO will be in 5 years or so, AA probably in 10 years.

Air Canada is almost an all Airbus operator. They have some 747, 767, and 737 but it looks like they will be gone in the next few years, replaced by A340, A330, and A320/319/etc

What about Delta....take away the 15 MD-11's, 15 MD-90's and the 120 MD-88's...you have a fleet of over 450 some odd Boeings...

Where is the biggest collection of Boeing or Airbus? An airline can still have some Boeing and be the biggest Airbus operator in the world (UA?); or have some Airbus and be the biggest Boeing operator in the world (BA?).

My guess is that United are AI's biggest customer, and Southwest or United are Boeing's. Anyone know the exact numbers? BA sure have a lot of Boeings, 70-ish 747s (54 -400s and about 15 -200s) alone.

KLM operates only Boeing's. They have some MD-11s, but I consider them Boeing, since MDD has been taken over by boeing.

KLM's subsidiaries operate mostly Fokkers. There are also some Dorniers, and ATR's.

Airbus's biggest customer in terms of pure airframes ordered: United

Boeing's biggest customer historically, in terms of revenue generated: United

I read in a dutch magazine today, that, with the delivery of the 737-700, Transavia has got, the next year, for 30 B737!
From 737-3 to 737-8 (dont know if they ordered 737-9 as well)

I believe WN is your largest all Boeing operator, with over 300 737s.

How about Air Baltic which is perhaps the only world airline having All-Avro fleet.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Anyone knows any airline (it could be small, but more than 2 planes), which has fleet with all "untraditional" (bad spelling; non Boeing/Airbus) airliners? Such as all-Embraer, all-Douglas, all-Fokker, all-Bombardier, all-Fairchild, all-Lockheed fleets?

I say:

Southwest Airlines - all B737'S (353 of them)

El Al - all Boeing feet

Air Portugal - all Airbus fleet

Atlas Air - all B747 fleet

The only nubers I know are the Southwest Fleet

Sorry, Sonic, Air Baltic had either Saab or Fokker-50, they never were "all-something"!  Smile
